Do you remember when museums were dreary, static places, where you were only allowed to admire works of arts and read brief descriptions or reviews from a distance and definitely without touching anything? Fortunately, this concept has now changed, thanks to the new concept of interactive museums that allow visitors to have a hands-on approach and get into direct contact with the works, touching them, moving them and learning through playing with them. Among the still quite select group of interactive museums in Mexico is the San Luis Potosi Labyrinth Museum of Science and Arts, a phenomenal architectural work that will surprise you not only by its size and the nature of its open spaces, but also by the unique reddish color of the quarry stone, which contrasts with the bright blue of the sky, by its gardens full of cacti and flora of the desert and by the tall, impressive Observatory Tower.

This is a visit that you begin knowing for sure that you’re going to have fun and that you’ll learn a lot in the five rooms that are home to more than 160 exhibits. In each of these areas, you will find young, qualified people, all of whom are able to give you a detailed explanation of the pedagogical games or exhibitions. You may well be surprised by the ergonomics of the exhibits, because most of them are placed just at a child’s height. This is because the museum focuses on children, although this does not mean that the adult does not also learn and have great fun here. Quite the contrary!
